DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's basketball team ranked 20th nationally in average attendance in 2023-24, according to numbers found on the NCAA statistics website.
UD averaged 13,407 fans a game in 2023-24, selling out the entire season for the third consecutive year. The top four attendance averages have come in the last four seasons attendance figures were kept – 13,407 in 2023-24, 2022-23 and 2021-22, and 13,364 in 2019-20. National attendance statistics were not kept during the Covid season of 2020-21.
Of schools in the top 25 in attendance, only Kansas, Purdue, Michigan State and UConn also sold out every game of the season.
Looking ahead to the 2024-25 season, more than 99% of Flyer men's basketball season ticketholders have already renewed their tickets for next year.
The 11 millionth fan to attend a Dayton men's basketball game will pass through the Arena's doors in UD's 2024-25 season opener. Since UD Arena opened in 1969, 10,987,151 members of the Flyer Faithful have attended a game at the Arena.
