DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of the Epicenter of College Basketball, UD Arena, for a Saturday night showdown against Bethune-Cookman scheduled to tip at 7:30 p.m.
The Flyers (2-1) lost in their first true road contest of the season, falling 74-62 at Cincinnati. The Wildcats (1-2) have lost to both NCAA Division I schools they've played this season, taking No. 22 Auburn to overtime before losing 95-90, while also getting beaten by Miami (Fla.) 101-61.
Sophomore
Amaël L'Etang led UD with 14 points and eight rebounds, while junior
De'Shayne Montgomery added 13 points and a season-high eight boards. Senior
Javon Bennett scored 12 points to run his double-digit point streak to eight consecutive games.

Dayton has played Bethune-Cookman twice in program history, with the Flyers coming out on top in both match ups.
The first time the Flyers and Wildcats played was in 1996 when Dayton squeaked out a narrow 60-59 victory. In the second meeting, the Flyers won by 40 points, 78-38, in front of 12,687 Flyer Faithful in UD Arena.
