DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team returns to the Epicenter of College Basketball, UD Arena, for a Saturday matinee with NC Central on Nov. 22 at 2 p.m.
The Flyers (4-1), are coming off a thrilling 77-71 overtime win at Marquette, while the Eagles (2-4) are coming off a 123-67 win over NCCAA Division II opponent Toccoa Falls. NC Central is 0-4 against NCAA Division I teams this season, with losses to N.C. State, Virginia, Appalachian State, and most recently falling 97-53 at North Carolina.

Javon Bennett led the way for the Flyers against Marquette on Wednesday night, despite being limited to injury in the second half, scoring a game-high 19 points and adding four assists. Junior
De'Shayne Montgomery carried the offense in the first half, scoring 14 of his 18 in the first stanza.
While not the first time that NC Central has played a game in UD Arena, it will be the first time the Eagles come to the Epicenter of College Basketball to play the Flyers.
NC Central played in the First Four as part of the opening to the NCAA College Basketball Tournament three consecutive seasons from 2017 to 2019.
Unfortunately for the Eagles, they went 0-3 in those appearances, losing to UC Davis in 2017 (67-63), Texas Southern in 2018 (64-46), and North Dakota State in 2019 (80-74).
