DAYTONÂ - The University of Dayton women's basketball program will travel down to Florida for the Thanksgiving break as the Flyers compete in the 2025 Elevance Health Fort Myers Tip-Off. UD will open up against Butler University Friday, Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. at the Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
SCOUTING THE FLYERSÂ
Dayton enters the event with a 3-2 record overall and will be playing its first neutral site games of the year, where the Flyers were 1-3 in 2024-25. UD is coming off a big win last outing and will look to carry that momentum to Fort Myers.Â

Tamika Williams-Jeter finished her fourth season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.Â
The Flyers are averaging 72.0 points per game while holding opponents to 64.2 points each outing. Dayton is shooting 47.9 percent overall, 28.7 percent from three point range, and 71.4 percent from the free throw line. UD has a +4.6 rebounding margin, but is committing 2.2 more turnovers.
Senior
Nayo Lear leads the way with 17.4 points and 2.2 steals each game while junior
Fatima Ibrahim is adding 11.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.4 blocks each contest. Sophomore
Olivia Leung rounds out the scoring with 10.0 points per game as well.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
BUTLER
Butler heads to Florida with a 3-3 record on the season and one-game winning streak. It will be the Bulldogs' first neutral site game and were 2-2 last season in such contests. Butler holds wins over Wright State, Northern Kentucky, and Milwaukee this year.Â
Head coach Austin Parkinson is in his fourth year at the helm.Â
As a team, Butler is scoring 65.8 points each outing and giving up 62.7 points to opposing squads. The Bulldogs are averaging 45.3 percent from the field, 31.7 percent from behind the arc, and 70.8 percent from the charity stripe.Â
Butler has a balanced attack with eight players averaging 5+ points each game. Lily Zeinstra has team highs of 13.3 points and 2.8 assists per game while Mallory Miller is chipping in 7.3 points and 4.7 boards.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton held on for a 61-52 win over Canisius at home last Friday, despite trailing at the half. The Flyers outscored the Griffins 21-6 in the third quarter and got seven steals and 19 points from
Nayo Lear in the victory.Â
Butler powered its way to a 67-53 win at home over Milwaukee last Sunday. The Bulldogs had four players in double figures, led by Lily Zeinstra with 13 points. Butler also scored 32 points off 20 Milwaukee turnovers.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Butler are meeting for the 25th time in program history with the Flyers holding a 16-8 series lead. UD has won the last three match-ups including the last contest on Jan. 12, 2013, 82-39, in Indy.
