WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton women's basketball team traveled to George Washington University Saturday and earned a 66-51 victory on the road.

The Flyers (14-11, 8-6 A-10) got back in the win column while ending the Revolutionaries' (11-14, 4-10 A-10) three-game winning streak.

GAME BREAKDOWN
1st Quarter: Dayton 14, George Washington 11
- Senior Arianna Smith got Dayton started off with a bang, converting an and-one to put UD up 3-0 early.
- Fellow senior Ivy Wolf drilled a three to make it a 6-0 Dayton advantage.
- Midway through the first quarter, the Flyers were up 13-6 with six points from Wolf and five from Smith.
- GW managed to hit a corner three with under a minute to play to make it a three-point game, 14-11.
- Dayton forced six turnovers from the hosts in the opening 10 minutes.
2nd Quarter: Dayton 38, George Washington 18
- UD forced yet another GW turnover on the opening possession followed by a contested bucket from Smith.
- At the 7:35 mark, the Revs took their first lead of the game with a second-chance basket to lead 17-16.
- A three from grad student Rikki Harris with 5:54 to play ended a three-plus minute drought for the Flyers and put them back on top.
- Freshman Molly O'Riordan hit a big three before Wolf added her third from deep to force a GW timeout with 2:54 left in the half and the visitors up 29-17.
- Smith had another bucket and the foul to make it a 34-17 UD lead, causing the Revs to take another timeout with under two minutes to play.
- Defensively, Dayton held GW without a point from the 7:35 mark to the :25 mark, and without a field goal the rest of the half.
- UD scored 16 points off 16 GW turnovers in the first half.
3rd Quarter: Dayton 54, George Washington 34
- Dayton kept the pressure on and outscored GW 7-1 in the first three minutes of the second half, thanks to five points from Wolf.
- Fouls started to rack up early for both teams with the Revs relying on physicality to hang with the Flyers.
- The Revs didn't break their field goal drought until the 5:47 mark in the third quarter.
- GW came alive with a 7-0 run to try and cut into the deficit with 2:30 left.
- The Revs were forced to call their third timeout with 1:06 on the clock and a 54-30 Flyer lead.
4th Quarter: Dayton 66, George Washington 51
- UD got four quick fouls once again as GW continued to take the ball into the defender.
- Senior Shannon Wheeler scored her first points of the game at the 7:15 mark after nice ball movement from graduate student Nicole Stephens and O'Riordan.
- O'Riordan followed up with a three to give her double digits and a new career high.
- The Revs got the margin under 20 by getting to the free throw line.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
20 – Dayton tied its biggest halftime lead of the season at 20 points.
50% to 23% - The Flyers shot 50 percent from three point range, the second highest of the season, while holding the Revs to just 23 percent.

Ivy Wolf had a team-high 18 points while hitting four threes.

Molly O'Riordan had career-highs of 11 points and three threes in 22 minutes of action.
29 off 26 – The Flyers had 29 points off 26 Rev turnovers.
