DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team claimed the 8-3 win over Stonehill Wednesday in the Flyers' official home opener of the 2025 season. Senior
Maddie Kapsimalis went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base to lead the Flyer offense.
Dayton improved to 9-7 on the season while Stonehill is now 5-7 overall.

3 - Kapsimalis led all hitters with three hits, her second three-hit game and seventh multi-hit game of the season
2 - three Flyers knocked in two RBI on the day, including freshman

UP NEXT
This coming weekend will kick off the Atlantic 10 Conference portion of the Flyers' 2025 schedule as Dayton will play host to Saint Louis for a three-game set March 15-16. The pair will play two Saturday, getting underway at 12 p.m.
