DAYTON – The University of Dayton men's basketball team returns to the friendly confines of UD Arena, the Epicenter of College basketball, to play host to Loyola Chicago on Friday, Jan. 16.
The game will tip at 8:30 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN2. The Flyers will debut their new "Stealth Black" jerseys against the Ramblers.
The Flyers (13-4, 4-0 A-10) gutted out another short-handed road win on Tuesday night, defeating Duquesne 71-65. Loyola Chicago (5-13, 1-4 A-10) have been battling injuries of their own lately and has lost four consecutive games, most recently a 82-74 setback at home against George Mason.
Despite being down two starters against the Dukes, four Flyers finished Tuesday night's game with double-figure scoring. Senior
Keonte Jones led the way, tying his UD-career-high with 15 points. Fellow senior
Javon Bennett added 14, junior
De'Shayne Montgomery had 11, and redshirt sophomore
Jaiun Simon added 10.
UD held Duquesne to a season-low 24 points in the opening half, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
