Men’s Hoops Sells Out Entire Season For Sixth Consecutive Year

The Flyers Open The Regular Season On Nov. 2 Against NJIT

DAYTON – The University of Dayton has announced that all available tickets for the 2026-27 men's basketball season have been sold, selling out the entire season before the Flyers take the court for the regular season for the sixth consecutive year.

"Last week, I took our players through UD Arena and started at the 400 level, showing them the seats, the prices of each seat, and what it means that all seats are full." said Vice President and Director of Athletics Neil Sullivan. "College athletics looks nothing like it did even a few years ago, but our fans have remained the constant. I want our players to understand what that represents, not just ticket sales, but this community choosing, year after year, to be part of Dayton basketball. In today's college athletics, fans have never mattered more, our athletic department, our coaches and our players owe them our very best."

18 more sellouts this season will extend a regular-season sellout streak to 112 games dating back to 2019-2020, with the Dec. 2 game against Loyola (Md.) set to be the 100th consecutive sellout. Dayton will be one of seven institutions to have active sellout streaks of 100 games or more when the time comes, joining Duke, Michigan State, Kansas, Gonzaga, Purdue and Rutgers.

This marks the seventh consecutive season (the NCAA did not track attendance during the Covid season) that Dayton has had double-digit sellouts. UD had 14 sellouts in 2019-2020 (including the final 11 games), 17 in 2021-22, 16 in 2022-23, 15 in 2023-24, 18 in 2024-25, and 17 in 2025-26. (Even though they are sellouts, exhibition and postseason games do not count in the streak.)

The Flyers have announced sellouts before a game was played in each of the last six years.

Dayton men's basketball ranked 21st nationally in both total and average attendance in 2025-26. Since the Arena opened in 1969, Dayton has been in the NCAA`s Top 35 in men's basketball attendance all 55 seasons, and in the Top 25 a total of 37 times
