DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team returns home to host George Mason University Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m. for the Flyers' annual School Day game.Â
SCOUTING THE FLYERSÂ
Dayton looks to continue it's winning streak after victories at Saint Joseph's and La Salle last week. The Flyers are 13-11 overall and 6-7 in Atlantic 10 play. UD is 6-5 both at home and away this year.Â
Head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her fourth season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.Â
The Flyers are averaging 66.3 points per game and giving up 67.5 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 43.3 percent overall, 31.0 percent from three point range, and 65.9 percent from the free throw line. UD benefits from a +5.3 rebounding margin, but is committing 4.3 more turnovers.

Nayo Lear with 14.9 points per game and graduate student
Nicole Stephens with 10.7 points and 3.8 assists each outing. Sophomore
Olivia Leung is chipping in 8.3 points and has a team-high 32 made threes in 24 appearances.Â
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
GEORGE MASON
George Mason has conference title aspirations with a 10-1 record in A-10 games and 15-7 mark overall. The Patriots are coming off their first league loss and are 6-3 on the road this year. Â
Head coach Vanessa Blair-Lewis has turned the program around in her fifth season in Fairfax, having led the Patriots to their first A-10 Title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2024-25.
As a team, Mason is scoring 67.9 points per outing and holding opposing squads to just 60.8 points. The Patriots are averaging 39.4 percent from the field, 33.1 percent from behind the arc, and 73.7 percent from the charity stripe.Â
A-10 Player of the Year candidate Zahirah Walton powers the offense with 18.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while Kennedy Harris is adding 13.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 46 made threes.Â
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton returned to Philadelphia for the second time this week and earned a 75-73 win over Saint Joseph's Saturday. The Flyers got five threes from
Jayda Johnson and 18 points from
Nicole Stephens as UD went 2-0 in the city of brotherly love.Â
George Mason suffered its first loss of the A-10 season last outing, a 71-57 defeat at Richmond Saturday. The Patriots shot just 32.8 percent from the field while allowing the Spiders to shoot 50.0 percent.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and George Mason are meeting for the 17th time in program history and the second time this season as the Patriots defended their home floor back on Dec. 31, 74-59. Mason has now won four straight in the series.
