DAYTON -Â The University of Dayton women's basketball team travels to North Carolina after a bye week to take on Davidson College Saturday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m.Â
SCOUTING THE FLYERSÂ
Dayton is coming off a big home win over Saint Louis last weekend and will look to finish strong down the stretch with every game holding postseason implications. The Flyers are currently seventh in the Atlantic 10 standings with a 7-8 mark and are 14-12 overall this season.Â

Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her fourth season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.Â
The Flyers are averaging 66.0 points per game and giving up 67.5 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 43.5 percent overall, 30.8 percent from three point range, and 66.0 percent from the free throw line. UD benefits from a +4.8 rebounding margin.Â
Leading the way for Dayton is senior
Nayo Lear with 15.0 points per game and has six 20+ point games this year including this past Saturday. Grad student
Nicole Stephens runs the show and contributes 11.1 points each outing and a team-high 3.6 assists.Â
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
DAVIDSON
Davidson returns home to host Dayton with a 17-11 record on the year and 9-6 A-10 mark. The Wildcats have found much of their success at home with an 11-3 record at Belk Arena.
Head coach Gayle Fulks is in her ninth season with the Wildcats and has guided them to two postseason appearances.Â
As a team, Davidson is scoring 65.6 points each outing while holding opposing squads to just 58.0 points per game. The Wildcats are shooting 42.6 percent overall, 33.1 percent from behind the arc, and 8.4 percent from the charity stripe.Â
Davidson has a deep squad this season with seven players averaging 4+ points and double-digit minutes per game. Charlise Dunn leads the way with 15.2 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while Katie Donovan adds 11.7 points and a team-high 55 made threes.Â
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton earned a thrilling 65-63 victory over Saint Louis last Saturday at UD Arena, rallying from a 16-point deficit. The Flyers rode a 24-12 fourth quarter to earn a crucial A-10 win.Â
Davidson went to VCU midweek and picked up a 66-39 victory over the Rams. The Wildcats held the opposing team to single digits in both the second and third quarters while getting 14 points from Katie Donovan.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Davidson are meeting for just the 16th time in program history with the Flyers leading the series 12-3, but its the Wildcats that have won the last three matchups. Davidson eliminated Dayton from the 202 A-10 Tournament with a 56-36 victory in the second round.Â
