DAYTON -Â The University of Dayton women's basketball team heads to Loyola Chicago University Wednesday, Feb. 25 for a 7 p.m. ET showdown in the final road game of the regular season.
SCOUTING THE FLYERSÂ
Dayton looks to earn a crucial Atlantic 10 win in the windy city as we approach the final two games of the season with A-10 Tournament seeds on the line. The Flyers are 14-13 on the year and 7-9 in league play.
Head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her fourth season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.Â
The Flyers are averaging 66.0 points per game while giving up 67.9 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 43.4 percent overall, 30.5 percent from three point range, and 66.6 free throw percentage. UD benefits from a +4.7 rebounding margin as well.

LOYOLA CHICAGO
Loyola Chicago is ahead of Dayton in the A-10 standings with a 9-7 record on the year, good enough for sixth place currently. The Ramblers are 13-14 overall this season and 5-9 at home.Â
Head coach Allison Guth is in her fourth season at Loyola.Â
As a team, the Ramblers are scoring 56.1 points each contest and allowing 60.7 points to opposing squads. Loyola is averaging 39.0 percent from the field, 26.6 percent from behind the arc, and 65.3 percent from the charity stripe.Â
The three-headed monster of Alex-Anne Bessette, Alexa Kinas, and Alexus Mobley power the attack, each averaging 10+ points and 3+ rebounds per game. Kira Chivers runs the point and chips in 5.0 points and 2.5 assists each outing.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton went on the road to Davidson Saturday and battled to the end in a 79-67 defeat to the Wildcats, despite outscoring the hosts 27-14 in the fourth.
Ajok Madol was just shy of a double-double with nine rebounds and 11 points in the effort.Â
Loyola Chicago went on the road to face a tough St. Bonaventure team and earned a big 58-55 win over the Bonnies Saturday. The Ramblers overcome a rough third quarter by scoring 22 in the fourth.Â
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Loyola are meeting for the 39th time in program history with the Flyers holding a 17-11 series advantage. The Ramblers won the last showdown earlier this season on Jan. 7 at UD Arena though, 71-68.
UP NEXT
Dayton returns home to host VCU Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. It will be Senior Day before the game at UD Arena.
