The Flyers (15-8, 6-4 A-10) snapped their four-game losing skid with a 72-70 victory at home over St. Bonaventure on Tuesday night. VCU (17-6, 8-2 A-10) withstood a ferocious second half comeback by Fordham to pull out a victory in the Bronx by a final score of 63-59, thanks in large part to 17 points from Lazar Djokovic.
Dayton senior
Javon Bennett scored 16 of his game-high 20 points in the first half against the Bonnies, shooting 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. The four made shots from long range was the most for the senior since making six against No. 9 BYU.
UD is wearing the classic edition of its Chapel Blue jerseys on Friday night. The color has been used periodically throughout the Flyers' history, and is officially named after the dome of the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in the heart of the University's campus.
