KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Dayton softball team closed out its Atlantic 10 Conference series at Rhode Island with an 8-2 win over the Rams. For the second-consecutive game and 11th time this season, senior pitcher
Izzy Kemp eclipsed the double-digit strikeout mark, recording 13 against URI Saturday.
Dayton improves to 17-14 on the year and 8-7 in A-10 action while Rhode Island moves to 9-17 overall and 4-8 in league games.

10 - as a team, the Flyers combined for 10 hits with eight different players recording a hit

UP NEXT
UD will return home next week for four games inside the friendly confines of UD Softball Stadium. Dayton will welcome IU Indy to the Gem City on Tuesday for a single game at 3 p.m. Over the weekend, Dayton and St. Bonaventure will play a three-game A-10 series beginning at 12 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is free.
