Men’s Basketball Squares Off With Xavier In CareSource Invitational – Supporting Mental Health

The Flyers And Musketeers Will Play Outdoors At The Lindner Family Tennis Center On Oct. 7

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The University of Dayton and Xavier University, along with CareSource, Ohio State University and the University of Cincinnati, have announced the inaugural CareSource Invitational Ohio to be played outdoors at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Wednesday, Oct. 7.

The game between the UD and Xavier will be the second of the day playing on P&G Center Court at the Lindner Family Tennis Complex, as Cincinnati and Ohio State will start the event.

Now in its fourth year, the CareSource Invitationals support mental health awareness with a focus on the foundational message "It's OK to not be OK." In addition to normalizing mental health conversations, the collegiate games raise funds for nonprofit mental health and suicide prevention organizations. To date, CareSource has raised more than $500,000 to support Jay's Light and other organizations nationwide.

The Flyers and Musketeers are one of three exhibition games for UD this season, with the other announced preseason showdown coming in the 2026 CareSource Spotlight on Mental Health Game against Notre Dame on Oct. 17 at the Epicenter of College Basketball, UD Arena.

Dayton Athletics will reach out to season ticket holders on Monday, July 13 with information in regards to ticket requests for the event.

Additional details about the CareSource Invitational and ticket information for the general public are forthcoming. Should weather play a factor on the day of the event, both games will be moved to the Epicenter of College Basketball, UD Arena.
