YORKTOWN, Ind. - The University of Dayton women's golf team wrapped play at the Brittany Kelly Classic Tuesday at The Players Club at Woodland Trails. The three-round event hosted by Ball State was played Sept. 14-15 and the course was contested at par 72 and 6,202 yards.

The host Cardinals claimed top team honors with a score of 294-283-281=858 (-6) and Ball State's Taylor Larkins was the Classic's medalist with her score of 76-68-70=214 (-2). Dayton finished in 13th place with a team score of 324-305-316=945 (+81).

"I'm proud of this group for a decent comeback in round two yesterday," commented head coach Ellie Sipe following the two-day event. "We have a lot of work to do with a young team, but I see this as a great opportunity to learn some lessons on how to improve and continue to develop. I'm optimistic for the rest of our fall as we have a talented team on our hands!"

UP NEXT
Dayton will return to action Oct. 5-6 at Butler's Fall Invitational. The Flyers will head over to Indianapolis to take part in the two-day event at Highland Country Club.
