Biography
Video Bio2013-14Murrell was a member of the V8+ boat for every meet this season. She competed in the V8+ boat that finished second in the IU Spring Meet. Her V8+ boat finished fifth in both the Occoquan Sprints and A-10 Championships. She also competed in the V8+ boat for the Dad Vail Regatta, her last race as a Flyer.
2012-13Murrell was a member of the V8+ boat that finished with the fastest time in the Cardinal Oak Ridge Invite. She raced in the same boat at The Knecht Cup as well as the A-10 Championships. Her boat placed fourth in the final of the latter event. At the Dad Vail Regatta, she led her team to a fifth place finish in the 21 Women's Varsity Heavyweight Eight final.
2011-12
Murrell was busy as a sophomore, participating in the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invite, the Marietta Regatta, Buffalo, The Knecht Cup, and the Dad Vail Regatta. At the A-10 Championships, she helped lead her 2V8+ boat to a fifth place finish.
2010-11
As a freshman, Murrell helped the Flyers 2V8+ boat to a sixth place finish at the A-10 Championships. She guided the Novice 8+ boat to a fourth place finish in the Grand Finals of the Dad Vail Regatta.
High School
Murrell attended Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, Ohio. She rowed all four years and raced in the lightweight 4 at the SRAA Nationals Regatta her sophomore and junior years and in the Varsity 8 her senior year. As a junior her lightweight 4 boat placed third at nationals.
Personal
Haley is the daughter of Charles and Andra Murrell. She has a twin named Lindsay who attends the University of Toledo and a younger sister, Kristin. Haley is majoring in dietetics & nutrition and fitness.
