Devin Davis steps into a new position as Dayton's Director of Player Development. Graduating from Miami (Ohio) University, Davis spent four years as a star of the RedHawks basketball team where he ranks third all-time in points (1,828) and rebounds (1,027). Miami made the NCAA tournament twice during those years, and the team inducted him in their Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
After graduation, Davis spent 15 years in professional national and international basketball, playing for various teams in Spain, Philippines, Russia, and Argentina. In 2014-15, he served on Anthony Grant's coaching staff as strength and conditioning coach for the University of Alabama. The two have a relationship that goes back to their high school alma mater, Miami Senior High School, where Davis graduated 10 years after Grant.
