James Haring joined the Flyer staff as Director of Basketball Operations in July, 2019.. Haring came to UD from Jacksonville State where he was Coordinator of Basketball Operations since 2017.
Haring will be responsible for the administrative duties of the men's basketball program including team travel and daily scheduling.
He is a summa cum laude graduate of West Virginia University where he was a four-year team manager for Bob Huggins’ Mountaineer basketball program. Haring was head manager as a senior.
Haring spent the 2016-17 season at the University of Illinois as head coach John Groce's director of basketball operations. He also served two seasons as a graduate assistant with the Fighting Illini.
A native of New Lenox, Illinois, Haring earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from West Virginia in 2014 and his master's degree in educational policy studies from Illinois in 2016.
He is currently a member of the Teamworks Basketball Leadership Committee.
