Jordan Talley was announced as an assistant coach for Dayton on May 14, 2026.

Jordan brings a proven track record of elite player development, highlighted by his experiences with the University of Florida during their championship run. His energy, communication skills, and passion for mentoring young men, align perfectly with the values of our program. Jordan is a high-character leader who will positively impact our players, coaches, and staff on & off the court.”

The Lake City, Fla. native joins the Flyers after spending the 2025-26 campaign as an assistant coach at Atlantic 10 foe Duquesne. The Dukes saw a five-win improvement in Talley's only season on the bench, with guard Jimmie Williams earning All-Atlantic 10 honors.

Prior to his year with the Dukes, Tally spent three seasons at the University of Florida as a Player Development assistant. The Gators went 76-33 (.697) in his time in Gainesville, ultimately winning the 2025 NCAA Championship. 

He began his Division I coaching career as a graduate assistant under Mark Byington at James Madison University from 2020-22. The Dukes won 28 games during his two years in Harrisonburg, Va., including the 2021 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) regular season championship.
