Burns enters her first year as a Graduate Assistant for University of Dayton cross country and track and field teams.
Familiar with the program, she had a successful career running for Dayton track and field, where last season she threw a PR in the shot put (13.40m) at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships and was second going into the final event of the pentathlon before suffering a season ending injury. The Washington Courthouse, Ohio native competed as a Flyer from 2021 to 2025.
Burns received her BA in Psychology and she is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Education, specifically School Psychology. Â
