Steffensmeier played at St. Charles Preparatory and shot a 79 (40-39) in the Division I state tournament at Ohio State's Scarlet Course to help his team win their first state championship ... Known for his short game during high school, Steffensmeier is a big hitter and plays a longer game ... Was Academic All-Ohio, medalist at the Columbus District Golf Association Junior Tournament, and state medalist to qualify and compete in the Optimist International Tournament at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
