Steffensmeier posted the eighth-best mark in stroke average at 77.4...played the fourth-most rounds on the team with 19...tied for the best low round on the team with a 68...opened the year at the Cardinal Classic by tying for 45th after shooting 83-68-74...shot 75-78-78 at the Bearcat Invitational to tie for 46th...tied for 35th at the UD Fall Invitational with a 74-78...at the Wexford Intercollegiate he shot 77-75-75 and tied for 61st...tied for 53rd at the NYX Hoosier Invitational after shooting 74-75-79...fired 81-76 to place in 42nd at the Detroit Golf Club Invitational...wrapped up the year with rounds of 80-80-81 to place in 73rd at the Kemper Sports Intercollegiate.

Steffensmeier ranked third on the team in stroke average at 74.9 and played in 10 rounds during the 2011-12 season ...opened his collegiate career with rounds of 71-69-79 at the UK Bluegrass Invitational and finished tied for 13th…earned the Atlantic 10’s Player of the Week award on September 21, 2011 for the first time in his career…placed in a tie for 54th at the Cardinal Classic with marks of 72-81…finished with scores of 79-72-81 at the Cobra-PUMA Invitational to finish tied for 52nd…tied for 5th at the UD Fall Invitational with rounds of 73-72…did not play during the spring season.

Sat out all of the 2010-11 campaign with a torn ACL.

High School
Steffensmeier played at St. Charles Preparatory and shot a 79 (40-39) in the Division I state tournament at Ohio State's Scarlet Course to help his team win their first state championship. Known for his short game during high school, Steffensmeier is another big hitter and plays a longer game. He was Academic All-Ohio, medalist at the Columbus District Golf Association Junior Tournament, and state medalist to qualify and compete in the Optimist International Tournament at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach, Florida.
