Marlee Wilson will be in her second season as assistant coach on Cara LaPlaca's staff for the 2022 season.

Wilson comes to Dayton after serving as graduate assistant coach at Tennessee Martin. She helped guide the 2019 Skyhawks to the Ohio Valley Conference tournament while the team led the OVC in stolen bases (130) and fielding percentage (.967) and UT Martin ranked 7th in the NCAA with 2.32 stolen bases per game. The 2020 squad was off to another strong start when the season abruptly ended due to Covid-19.

Before UT Martin, Wilson was a four-year starter at Western Michigan with 183 career games playing primarily at first base. For her career she posted a .257 batting average with 28 doubles, 14 home runs and 75 RBI. Notching a career on-base percentage of .329, she proved patient at the plate by also drawing 38 walks while being hit by a pitch 18 times. Wilson was twice named to the All-MAC Second Team and was a four-time NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete.

Wilson graduated from Western Michigan in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in university studies with concentrations in HPHE, art and business. She graduated from UT Martin in May of 2020 with a family and consumer science master's degree.
