Job Responsibilities: Responsible for all aspects of athletic performance programming for football, volleyball, baseball and men’s soccer. Directs the strength performance programs for women’s cross country, women’s track & field and men’s cross country. Provides student-athletes and coaches education and advice on the basics of nutrition. This includes one-on-one consults, the distribution of newsletters to continue to remind and better educate, and monitors student-athlete progress by regularly checking body compositions. Mark is also in charge of scheduling, managing, and maintaining all aspects of the Olsen Athletic Performance Center.
Past Experience: Mark spent one year with the University of Oregon as graduate assistant. At Oregon, he assisted with football and was directly responsible for creating and overseeing performance programs for women’s soccer, men’s tennis and women’s tennis. Before Oregon, Mark was a graduate assistant with Texas A&M Kingsville where he also oversaw and implemented strength and conditioning programs for all sports programs within the department. Mark began his strength and conditioning experience as an intern with the Indianapolis Colts.

While a student at the University of Dayton, Mark was part of the varsity football team that won two Pioneer Football League championships. As a senior, he was voted a team captain, the Chief Toscani Hitter’s Award and the White Allen Most Valuable Player Award. During his time, he was also voted as an Academic All-conference team member once, a 1st team All-Conference member twice, and a 1st team All-American member twice.
Personal: Married to Krista with 2 sons, Brandt and Cade. Was one of four brothers (Dan, Brad, and Todd) to play football for the University of Dayton.
