University of Dayton women’s basketball head coach Tamika Williams-Jeter added her third member of her staff this week with the announcement of Julie Bolden as the new assistant to the head coach.
“Julie of all trades, she was a graduate assistant for us at Ohio State under Kevin McGuff and did a tremendous job,” said Williams-Jeter. “I challenged her do to do some scouts and take a look at them, to do graphics and film, game prep, recruiting prep, and just “hey Julie, I need this done” type of stuff. She just did it all. She’s going to be a huge benefit for us coming into her position because she can pretty much help out with whatever we need and in whatever space. She wants to be a coach so understanding how all this flows is going to be very important to her. We got a gem when we got Julie.”
“I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the Dayton program,” said Bolden. “Coach Meek has always pushed me to develop not only with basketball, but as a person off the court. She brings a passion and enthusiasm wherever she goes and is always invested in what is best for those around her. I cannot wait to work with this group and be a part of the Dayton community.”
Bolden will serve as the assistant to Williams-Jeter and aide in program responsibilities.
At Hofstra, Bolden was responsible for planning, editing, producing and compiling all video packaging utilized for scouting, recruiting, practices, game preparation and promotional videos. Most recently, Bolden was a graduate manager for the Ohio State University women's basketball program, assisting directly with the Director of Operations to help daily tasks. In addition, she assisted with drills during practice, recruiting visits, equipment, and social media content.
Prior to her time as a graduate student, Bolden was a Volunteer Coach for the girls' basketball program at Colerain High School. During her stint in 2016, Bolden created and developed practice plans and curated drills to improve individual and team skill development.
Bolden, a 2020 graduate from the University of Cincinnati, earned a Bachelor's of Science in Communication.
