Ryan Gensler

The University of Dayton women's basketball program and head coach Shauna Green announced the addition of Ryan Gensler to the staff as an assistant coach in April 2017.

Gensler came to Dayton after spending  two seasons on the University of Florida women's basketball staff, serving as the video coordinator. In 2017, he was named the Co-National Basketball Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate Sports Video Association Executive Board (CSVA). He was also on the staff for the 2015-16 season in which the Gators went 22-9 and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Prior to his time in Gainesville, Gensler was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Loyola-Maryland from 2013-15, an assistant coach at fellow Atlantic 10 program St. Bonaventure from 2011-13 (during which the Bonnies advanced to the Sweet 16), and Director of Basketball Operations/Graduate Assistant Coach at Providence College from 2009-11.

Gensler earned his bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University in 2009 before receiving his master's degree from Providence in 2011.

Gensler lives in Dayton with his wife Leanna, son Jackson, and their dog, Bo.
