The University of Dayton women's basketball program and head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter have announced the addition of Trendale Perkins to the staff as video coordinator.
"Trendale is my right-hand man," said Coach Williams-Jeter. "Since I first started my journey at Wittenberg, he took a chance on a new head coach. He came over from his job that he had for 17 years to be a Division III assistant coach. He is a loyal person, a family man, and loves the game of basketball. He was part of my initial journey and he bet on me, and you never forget a person like that. I think Flyer nation is going to love having someone like this on our side."
"It's such a blessing to have an opportunity to be a part of the Dayton women's program," said Perkins. "I grew up right around the corner and I played most of my Dayton Public Schools city league games in the arena. I love Coach Meek and her family, and I learned so much as her assistant coach last year. I could not turn down the opportunity to help her build the Dayton program in whatever capacity she needs me."
Perkins joins the Flyers after serving under Coach Williams-Jeter last year at Wittenberg. Prior to that, he spent seven seasons and three as the head coach at Sinclair Community College. He led his team to the 2019 OCCAC Conference Championship and qualified for the Division II NJCAA national tournament.
