Kari Daugherty entered her freshman year with high expectations and did not disappoint. She played in all 33 games for the Flyers and averaged 14.5 minutes per game. She made good use of her time as she accumulated 194 points over the season which was good for an average of 5.9 per game. She also totaled 30 assists during the season as well as 21 steals. She was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week twice as well as being named to the A-10 All-Rookie team.

High School
The sister of Flyer junior Kristin Daugherty...Kari Daugherty helped lead her team to back-to-back state championship titles in 2005-06 and 2006-07... She was the State Tournament MVP in 05-06 and the Tournament Co-MVP in 06-07 and is a three-time First Team ECOL and Eastern District Team selection... Daugherty also earned ECOL Second Team and Eastern District Second Team honors in 2005-06... She was named to the District 5 First Team all four years at River View... In addition, she was named Honorable Mention All-Ohio during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons...In back-to-back seasons (07-08 and 08-09), she garnered First Team All-Ohio honors and was named the ECOL Player of the Year, Eastern District Player of the Year, and District 5 Player of the Year...In 2009, Daugherty was named an All-Ohio Co-Player of the Year...Daugherty was named to the state tournament team in 07, 08, and 09... In AAU action, Daugherty's team finished the 2007 season 26-1 winning the Blue Chip Tournament...A two-sport athlete in high school, Daugherty also played volleyball and earned ECOL First Team Honors and Eastern District Honors as a junior and senior ....Was the ECOL Player of the Year her senior season...Was the ECOL and Eastern District Player of the Year in 2008...Also named to the All-Ohio First Team in 2008 and the All-Ohio Second Team in 2007...An academic standout, Daugherty graduated first in her class and was member of the National Honors Society and was also Academic All-Ohio.
