2009-2010:
Played in 26 games during her freshman season at UD and averaged 9.1 mpg... MacKay made her debut in a win over Georgetown and played four minutes while also tallying one assist... Had a season-high eight points on 4-6 shooting with three rebounds, two assists, and two steals in a win over Seattle... Samantha had a career high five assists in her home debut against Milwaukee-Wisconsin... Put up five points in 10 minutes against Navy... Had two points, two rebounds, four assists, and one steal against Richmond... Had her career-high four rebounds to go along with two assists against No. 10 ranked Xavier.

High School:
In her senior season, MacKay was named a McDonald's All-American Nominee...She was the District 10 Player of the Year and Ohio Central Conference Player of the Year...MacKay was also named First Team All-OCC both her junior and senior seasons...During her junior season, MacKay earned second team all-district and All-Ohio honorable mention honors... She finished her career as the school's record holder in career assists, single season assists , and single game assists.... MacKay also owns the school's record in steals (single, season, and career) and in most career three pointers.

Personal:
Daughter of Ron and Sandy Richards...Born on May 24, 1991...She is a sports management major.
