Shakoor enters her first year as a graduate assistant for the University of Dayton cross country and track and field teams.
Familiar with the program, the Dearborn Heights, Michigan, native competed as a Flyer from 2022 to 2026. Shakoor was a senior and a member of the Flyers first-ever Atlantic 10 Outdoor Track & Field Championship team. During the indoor season last year, she was part of the 4x400m relay team with Mariya Washington, Sydney Workman, and Simone Bessong that set the school record at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational. She is listed in the UDTF record book multiple times, including as a member of the 4x100m relay team that broke the school record and finished second at the A-10 Championships in 2025.
In May, Shakoor graduated with a degree in political science and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Public Administration.
