In September 2026, Chantae McMillan Langhorst joined the Dayton track and field program as an assistant coach.
McMillan Langhorst was a U.S. Olympic heptathlete and competed in the heptathlon at the 2012 London Olympics. The former Olympian has made multiple stops at UD. McMillan Langhorst was named a volunteer assistant coach in February 2021 and previously served as a volunteer on the Flyer staff while training for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Rolla, Missouri, native was a track and field standout at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where she was a five-time All-American, four-time Big 12 Champion, two-time school record holder, and three-time team captain. During her four years at Nebraska, she competed at the national championships seven times between the indoor and outdoor seasons.
In addition to her stellar career on the track, she competed on the NBC television series The Titan Games, progressing through the competition to become a Titan by beating two-time Olympic gold medalist Claressa Shields. McMillan Langhorst was also one of six athletes featured on the 2015 cover of ESPN's famous Body Issue.
McMillan Langhorst lives in Miami County with her husband and four children.Â
