During the indoor season, Nelson finished first in the shot put at the Tom Wright Open with a distance of 13.65m. She placed second at the Atlantic 10 Championships in the weight throw with a distance of 15.52m...For her outdoor season, turned in five top-ten finishes...Finished fourth in the hammer throw at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/3) with a throw of 47.48m...Also took fourth place in shot put at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/3) with a throw of 13.04m...For her outdoor season, threw the hammer 48.49m at the All-Ohio Championships (4/11) to take 12th place...Finished fourth at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/3) throwing 13.04m...Had best throw of outdoor season at Louisville Twilight (5/8) of 13.13m.

In her indoor season, she finished first at the Akron Invite (2/8) in the shot put with a distance of 14.39, the fifth best mark in school history... Finished second at the Atlantic 10 Championships with a distance of 13.92 in the shot put, earning a trip to the podium and a silver medal... For her outdoor season finished fourth at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/4) in the shot put with a distance of 13.02m... Placed fifth in at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/4) in the hammer throw with a distance of 48.09m.

2012-2013
Finished fourth in the shot put at the Bowling Green Opener (1/12) with a distance of 13.22m... Won second place in the weight throw at the YSU National Invite (2/1) with a distance of 15.59m...
