Tiffany Hansen

Tiffany Hansen joined the University of Dayton women's soccer staff in March 2011 and serves as the Flyers’ Recruiting Coordinator and Director of UD Women's Soccer Camps.

While with the Flyers, Hansen has been responsible for day to day operations and has helped maintain the program at a high level.

She works primarily with the UD goalkeepers, but also assists in team training, practice planning and preparation. She mentored Flyer goalkeeper Heather Betancourt to Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team honors in 2014. During the 2013 season she worked with rookie goalkeeper, freshman Liz James who earned Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team honors and was named the NSCAA National Player of the Week and two-time A-10 Player of the Week; and led the Flyers to a program-record six consecutive shutouts. She also worked with Jordin Melchert to help her earn All-Ohio and Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team honors in 2011. 

In addition, Hansen is the academic liaison and has helped UD to a team GPA of 3.64 and four Flyers have earned Academic All-American status during her tenure. UD has been named an NSCAA Scholar Team all four years.

Hansen is also the community service liaison for the Flyers and coordinates all of their service with TOPS soccer, Dayton Urban Ministries. Kicks for Kids, and the Special Olympics YMCA.

As the recruiting coordinator Hansen has brought in five players who have national team playing experience.

Hansen came to Dayton after three seasons as an assistant at her alma mater Bowling Green State University. BGSU had a school-record 14 shutouts in 2008, when Hansen worked with the goalkeepers. In addition to working with the Falcons, Hansen coached with the Olympic Development Program. She has served as an ODP Region II Staff Coach, and goalkeeping coach and staff coach with the Ohio Youth Soccer Association North (OYSAN) ODP.

Hansen has earned her NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and the NSCAA Premier Diploma, as well as her NSCAA State, Regional, National and Advanced National Goalkeeping Licenses. She currently holds her USSF "C" License.

She was one of 15 females coaches selected from more than 350 applicants for the inaugural edition of the NSCAA 30 Under 30 program which is dedicated to supporting fledgling coaches and fostering their growth at a crucial point in their vocation. Hansen was also selected to participate in the 2013 NCAA Women Coaches Academy in Denver. Colo.

Hansen works closely with the Ohio South ODP program - having served as the head girls goalkeeping coach for all age groups in 2012. 

She is in her second season as Head Age Group Coach for the talented Ohio South Girls ODP team and is also the head goalkeeper coach for the Region II ODP 98 and 99 teams. Region II is comprised of players from 14 states – and Hansen oversees the goalkeepers from each of those 14 states. She has accompanied the Region II team to Boca Raton, Fla. twice, assisting in team training, selection and development.

She has also been selected to an invite-only, Region II, ODP international training camp in Costa Rica to be held in February 2015. 


A native of Lexington, Ohio, Hansen played two seasons at goalkeeper for the BGSU Falcons after spending two years at the University of Louisville. At BGSU, she was a team captain in her senior season of 2007. She helped the Falcon defense record a total of 17 shutouts in her two playing seasons, including a school-record 10 in 2006.

Hansen graduated in December of 2008 with a cumulative GPA of 3.89 during her undergraduate career at BGSU and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in nutrition in 2010, also from BGSU. She is also a registered dietitian.
