• The University of Dayton Flyers close exhibition action hosting the Findlay Oilers Saturday from Tom Blackburn Court beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The game will be carried live by WHIO Radio and available with live streaming video, stats and streaming audio at www.DaytonFlyers.com.
ABOUT FINDLAY
• The Findlay Oilers begin the 2013-14 season ranked ninth in the NCAA Division II Bulletin Preseason poll. The Oilers went 22-8 and won their second straight Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament title last year under the guidance of head coach Charlie Ernst. Findlay is led by senior forward Greg Kahlig, a preseason All-American after being named first team all-region and first team all-conference last year for the Oilers. Kahlig averaged 17.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game during his junior season.
THE EYE ON SPORTS IS WATCHING THE FLYERS
CBSSports.com has given the Flyers some love this preseason. Junior
Jordan Sibert is considered one of the 20 impact transfers, sophomore
Dyshawn Pierre is one of the under-the-radar sophomores ready to breakout, and coach
Archie Miller is a coach on the rise according to analyst Jon Rothstein.
FAMILIAR FOE
This will be the fourth straight season Dayton will face Findlay in exhibition action. UD has won the three previous meetings against the Oilers, with all of the games at home. Last year the Flyers won 77-58.
