DAYTON TAKES ON CAL IN 2013 EA SPORTS MAUI INVITATIONAL THIRD-PLACE GAME
• The University of Dayton Flyers and University of California Golden Bears will finish their trip to Maui by playing for third-place in the 2013 EA Sports Maui Invitational. Tip-off is Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on ESPN2, carried by WHIO Radio and are available with live video, stats and streaming audio at DaytonFlyers.com.

ABOUT CAL
• The California Golden Bears, like the Flyers, suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of a ranked team on Tuesday. Both teams bring a 5-1 record to Wednesday's third-place game. Cal fell to No. 7 Syracuse 92-81 after opening the tournament with an 85-77 win over Arkansas. Cal played the Syracuse game without big man Richard Solomon, who was injured in the first-round. Solomon averages a double-double (11.0 ppg, 11.4 rpg) and is one of five Cal players who average double figures.

SERIES STUFF
• Dayton leads the series 2-1. Counting this game, three of the four contests have come in in-season tournaments. Cal won the first meeting, 60-55 on Dec. 28, 1957 at the old Madison Square Garden in the ECAC Holiday Classic. UD took the next game, 66-62 on Dec. 22, 1975 in the finals of the University of Dayton Invitational Tournament. The Flyers also won the last meeting, 59-53 in overtime, in Dayton on Dec. 28, 1985.

IT'S WHY HE CAME TO DAYTON
• Monday's Flyer first round win over 11/10 Gonzaga is the highest-ranked opponent an Archie Miller-coached team has defeated. Miller, in his third season as a head coach, is 2-3 against ranked teams after Tuesday's 67-66 loss to No. 18/17 Baylor.

MARVELOUS IN MAUI
• The Flyers are making their third trip to the EA Sports Maui Invitational. Dayton is 6-2 all-time in Maui. In 2000, UD placed in third after upsetting No. 12 UConn, losing to No. 1 Arizona and then rebounding to beat No. 6 Maryland. In 2003, the Flyers won the tournament title after knocking off Central Michigan, San Diego State and Hawai'i. The 2013 EA Sports Maui Invitational is the sixth consecutive in-season tournament Dayton will have participated in.

FILL IT UP
• Dayton was not only 5-0 to start the year, but has also scored 70 or more points in the first five contests. The last time that happened was back to the 1980-81 season.

20/20 VISION
Jordan Sibert has scored 20 or more points in three straight games. The last Flyer achieve that feat was Brian Roberts (2/9/08 - 2/21/08).

TUNE IN
• The Flyers will be seen on television a record 29 times during the 2013-14 regular season. UD will have 29 of its 31 regular season games televised nationally or regionally during the regular-season. The landmark package represents the most televised games in a regular season for the Flyers.

UP NEXT
• UD returns home to face the Delaware State Hornets on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. ET.
