DAYTON
- The Dayton Flyers were defeated by the USC Trojans 79-76 in overtime. Pe'Shon Howard hit a 24-foot three-pointer as time expired to lift the Trojans to a victory.

Dayton was unable to overcome a cold shooting performance, shooting just 25.8% (8-31) in the second half. The Flyers also struggled from the three-point line, shooting 26.1% (6-23) from behind the arc in the game. Ironically, UD made both of its treys in overtime to account for six of its seven points in OT.

USC outscored the Flyers in the paint 52-32. The Trojans played a very tough interior defense, recording seven blocks to thwart Dayton from getting easy baskets in the paint. USC also outscored the Flyers in bench points 41-25. Byron Wesley came off of the bench and scored 26 points for the Trojans, leading all scorers.

UD was led by Jordan Sibert with 21 points. Dyshawn Pierre recorded his second straight double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. This was Pierre's third double-double of the season and fourth of his career.

USC guard Byron Wesley led the Trojans with a career-high 26 points.

Dayton will be back in action at UD Arena on Sunday, December 29 against Murray State.
