WBB WINS THIRD CONSECUTIVE GAME; TOP TOLEDO 87-75

The Flyers Have Scored 80+ Points In Eight Games This Season

TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Dayton women's basketball team (5-4) defeated Toledo 87-75 on the road Sunday afternoon at Savage Arena. The Rockets drop to 5-5 overall.
 
Junior Andrea Hoover scored a game-high 23 points (just two off her career high) to lead the Flyers. She also had a career-high seven assists to go along with three steals. Fellow junior Ally Malott and sophomore Amber Deane both notched double-doubles for UD. Malott scored 15 points to go along with a game-high 13 rebounds. Deane had 15 points and tied her career high in rebounds with 11 boards. Sophomore Kelley Austria added 18 points for the Flyer offensive.

The Flyers knocked down a season-high 53.8 percent of their three-point field goals in the game, hitting 7-of-13. For the eighth game this season UD has scored at least 80 points and is currently 16th in the nation in scoring offense.

UD held a 36-25 lead at the half. The Flyers are 4-0 this season when leading at the half.
 
The Flyers have back-to-back home games at UD Arena. Dayton hosts Central Michigan Monday, Dec. 30 at 7 p.m. and Wright State on Thursday, Jan. 2 at 7 p.m. The game vs. Central Michigan is the Camper Day. For the Wright State game, UD is partnering with St. Vincent de Paul for a food drive. Bring a non-perishable canned food item and get a $1 ticket for the game.
