WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its men's and women's basketball preseason polls and preseason teams from their annual A10 Media Day in the nation's capital Monday.
The Dayton women's program was chosen to finish fifth in the preseason poll with 127 points, just ahead of Saint Louis (123), VCU (106), Richmond (101), and Rhode Island (97).
Saint Joseph's was selected as the preseason favorites after receiving all 14 first-place votes. Davidson, George Washington, and George Mason rounded out the top four ahead of the Flyers.
For individual honors, Dayton had a pair of student-athletes recognized on A10 preseason teams. Junior
Olivia Leung was named Third Team Preseason All-Conference while senior
Fatima Ibrahim was named to the preseason All-Defensive Team.
