The University of Dayton women's basketball team kicks off the New Year and closes out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a crosstown matchup Thursday, Jan. 2 against Wright State University. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed lived for free with Shane White and Qasim Rizvi with the call on DaytonFlyers.com via the Atlantic 10 Digital Network.
 UD is partnering with St. Vincent de Paul for a food drive. Bring a non-perishable canned food item and get a $1 ticket for the game.

- Dayton is on a four-game winning streak, including its 102-89 win over Central Michigan on Dec. 30. The Flyers avenged a loss to the Chippewas from earlier this season when CMU won 94-91 with a three-pointer at the buzzer on Dec. 5.
- Junior guard
Andrea Hoover was named to the 2013-14 Naismith Trophy early-season, 50-player watch list for women's basketball. Hoover is the only representative from the Atlantic 10 to be named to early-season watch list.
- The Flyers have scored 80+ points in nine of their 10 games this season. UD is ranked 10th in the nation in scoring offense, averaging 86.7 ppg.
- Dayton went unbeaten at home last season, and improved its home court winning streak to 17 with its victory over Central Michigan on Dec. 30. Their streak is currently tied with Notre Dame for fifth-best in the nation.

Dayton leads the all-time series 34-4 over Wright State. UD has won the last six meetings, including a 95-73 victory at Wright State last season, Nov. 28, 2012.

Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova had 15 points and led the team with eight rebounds.

Andrea Hoover also scored in double figures adding 12 points for UD. Dayton is 20-0 when playing the Raiders at home. The last UD loss to Wright State was a 60-59 setback on Dec. 22, 2006.
SCOUTING WRIGHT STATE
The Raiders are 11-3 overall, including 3-1 in road games this season. The 11-3 record is the best start in school history through 14 games. Junior Kim Demmings leads the Raiders with 22.2 ppg which ranks her 15th in the nation in scoring. Ivory James adds 16.9 ppg. WSU has one common opponent with UD this season. Both squads played Akron. Wright State won 90-80 on Nov. 17 at home and the Flyers defeated Akron 94-80 on Nov. 15 at UD Arena. The Raiders are averaging 80.5 ppg this season.
