RICHMOND, Va. – Dyshawn Pierre recorded team highs of 19 points and six rebounds, but the Dayton Flyers fell on the road 73-64 to the Richmond Spiders.

The Flyers dropped to 13-5 overall and 1-2 in the Atlantic 10. It is also Dayton's sixth consecutive loss at the Robins Center.

With the game tied at 63-63, Richmond went on a 6-1 run to eventually pull away.

Richmond held a distinctive advantage at the free throw line. The Spiders, who came into the game shooting 64 percent from the free throw line, shot 32-of-35 (91 percent) at the charity stripe.

51 percent from the field and was impressive at the free throw line as well shooting 15-of-18. UD also out-rebounded Richmond 30-29.

However, Dayton was ice cold from three-point range. The Flyers finished the game 3-of-11 from beyond the arc and hit only one out of nine attempts in the second half.

Other contributors for the Flyers included Jalen Robinson, Jordan Sibert and Devon Scott with seven points apiece.

The Flyers return home to face the VCU Rams on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
