WBB BREAKS 100 POINTS IN SECOND CONSECUTIVE GAME

Flyers Defeat The Raiders 112-85 At UD Arena

Box Score

DAYTON, Ohio – Five Flyers scored in double figures, leading the University of Dayton women's basketball team to its fifth consecutive win, a 112-85 victory over the Wright State Raiders Thursday night at UD Arena in front of 2,651 fans. Dayton topped the 100-point mark for the second straight game as UD improved their record to 7-4 while the Raiders dropped to 11-4. The 112 points ties a program record set Jan. 23, 1978 when Dayton beat Capital 112-30

It breaks the modern era record of 107 which was set Nov. 12, 2010 in an 2OT loss to Penn State at UD Arena, 112-107.

It marked the first time since 2009-10 that Dayton scored 100 points twice in one season. It's the first time, since UD became a Division I program in 1984-85, that the Flyers scored 100 points in back-to-back games.

Junior Ally Malott scored a career-high 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting and almost had a double-double as she corralled nine rebounds. Junior Andrea Hoover had the most complete game of the evening as she neared a triple-double with 22 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Sophomore Amber Deane (16 points), sophomore Kelley Austria (14 points) and senior Cassie Sant (13 points) were the other Flyers in double-figures as UD scored a season-high 112 points.

The Flyers also had season highs in field goals made (39), field goal percentage (56.5), free throws made (26), rebounds (57) and blocked shots (8).

Dayton dominated the glass as they out-rebounded Wright State 57-29 and ran past the Raiders in fast break points, 35-20. UD also assisted on 25 of their 39 field goals while the Raiders had just 10 assists on their 30 field goals.

Dayton improves to 35-4 overall vs. the Raiders and 21-0 when playing WSU at home. It was also the seventh consecutive win over Wright State for the Flyers.

The Flyers will head to Saint Louis on Sunday Jan. 5 to take on the Billikens in UD's first Atlantic 10 conference game. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET and will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network.
