FAIRFAX, Va. – The University of Dayton women's soccer team scored two goals in the final three minutes of regulation to force overtime on the road vs. George Mason in Atlantic 10 action.

Junior Nicole Waters scored the golden goal in the 95^th minute to give the Flyers the win. Senior Kelsey Smigel had the assist on the game-winner. It marked the sixth goal of the season for Waters.

UD improves to 6-7-1 overall and 2-1-0 A-10. George Mason is 3-8-2 overall and 1-1-2 in the A-10.

The Patriots held a 2-0 lead until freshman Abby Weigel scored her first collegiate goal for the Flyers in the 87^th minute. Less than two minutes later senior Chelsea Rose scored the game-tying goal in the 89^th minute on assists from sophomore Meghan Blank and junior Ashley Campbell. It was Rose's second goal of the season.

The Patriots had two chances in the final seconds, including a header off the crossbar by Gabrielle Cook with 24 seconds left in regulation.
UD held the advantage on shots 17-11.

The Flyers will host a pair of Atlantic 10 opponents next weekend.  UD hosts La Salle on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Baujan Field. Friday is Dayton's Breast Cancer Awareness match and UD will be wearing pink warmups. There will be a pink pompom give away, and Red Scare will hold a T-shirt give away for UD students. It is also Metro FC Night and several youth teams will be announced at halftime. Finally, the first 150 fans will receive a free official Dayton women's soccer poster featuring the sophomores!

Dayton then will take on Fordham Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at Baujan Field. It will be the #UDWSOC senior day. The first 150 fans will receive a free official Dayton women's soccer poster featuring the seniors!
All Dayton regular season matches at Baujan Field are free admission. There will be T-shirt tosses as well as mini balls for goals scored! There will also be halftime contests and trivia contests.
