WOMEN'S HOOPS TAKES ON RHODE ISLAND IN ROAD CONFERENCE GAME

The University of Dayton women's basketball team (15-5, 8-1 A-10) plays at Rhode Island (7-17, 2-9 A-10) this Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. ET at The Ryan Center in Kingston, R.I. The game will be be available via free audio stream on DaytonFlyers.com through the A-10 Digital Network with Shane White on the call. 

FLYER FACTS

- Three of Dayton's five losses this season have come on buzzer beaters or in overtime. In all three, UD held a lead in the final minute of regulation. 
- Junior guard Andrea Hoover was named to the 2013-14 Naismith Trophy early-season, 50-player watch list for women's basketball. Hoover is the only representative from the A-10 to be named to the list. Hoover is known for her acrobatic layups but she gets it done behind the arc too. Her 140 career three-pointers made are sixth all-time at UD. She six away from moving into fifth place. Her .381 career three-point field goal percentage is second all-time, only behind Kiki Lund's (2004-08) .392. 
- The Flyers are fifth in the nation in scoring offense and ninth in assists per game. They are averaging 85.7 ppg and 18.7 apg, both of which are the best in the Atlantic 10. Andrea Hoover is fifth in NCAA and 2nd in A-10 in FT% (93.3).
- Dayton has hit at least one three point shot in 399 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation.
- Dayton leads the Atlantic 10 teams in scoring offense (85.7), field goal percentage (45.3), 3-point field goal percentage (37.2), rebounding offense (44.5), blocked shots (4.5), assists (18.7), defensive rebounds (31.3) and home game attendance (1,990).
- The Flyers have scored 80+ points in 15 of their 20 games this season, including 100+ in three games. 

SERIES INFO
Dayton leads the all-time series 18-4 over Rhode Island, including a 10-game winning streak. The last time UD lost to Rhode Island was March, 5, 2004 in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. The Flyers are 8-3 overall vs. the Rams when playing in Kingston, R.I. In the last meeting, UD won 74-48 on Jan. 20, 2013. Andrea Hoover and Ally Malott both had 11 points for the Flyers who led 35-19 at the half.

SCOUTING RHODE ISLAND
The Rams are 7-17 overall and 2-9 in the Atlantic 10. Tanya Melendez leads URI with 12.9 ppg and Kerry Wallack adds 9.6 ppg and 7.8 rpg. The Rams average 54.9 ppg which is last in the Atlantic 10.
