DAYTON, Ohio – The No. 22 University of Dayton women's basketball team (20-5, 13-1 A-10) locked up its second consecutive regular season Atlantic 10 title following an 82-56 victory over Saint Joseph's (20-7, 9-5 A-10) on senior day for
Cassie Sant at UD Arena in front of 3,111 fans.
Sophomore
Amber Deane led the way for Dayton, finishing with a team high 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the floor. She did not play in the first matchup against Saint Joseph's when she was out with a concussion. The Flyers lost that game 75-63 on Jan. 26.
Four other Flyers finished with double digits including freshman
Celeste Edwards and junior
Andrea Hoover with 14. Hoover added a game-high seven assists as well.

Ally Malott and sophomore
Jodie Cornelie-Sigmundova both finished with a double-double. Malott had 11 points and 10 rebounds, notching her eighth double-double of the season, and 11
th of her career. Cornelie-Sigmundova had 10 points and 11 rebounds in her first career double-double.
Dayton trailed for most of the first half, before finally taking the lead back at the 4-minute mark on a Malott jumper. UD would eventually take a 36-27 lead into halftime.
The Flyers extended that lead by 14 following a pair of Edwards three pointers, and Dayton never looked back. They cruised to a 26-point victory.
As a team Dayton shot 48 percent from the floor as well 92 percent from the free-throw line. They also out rebounded the Hawks 51-29.
This marks the seventh consecutive season that the Flyers have won 20+ games. Dayton won its first ever A-10 regular season title last season after going 14-0 vs. the conference slate. UD won its first A-10 Tournament Championship in 2012.
Dayton will remain at home for its final game at UD Arena this season. The Flyers will take on Saint Louis University on Wednesday, February 26 with tip-off scheduled for 11 a.m. More than 6,000 local school children will attend the "Math Day" game. Season ticket holders are encouraged to sit in sections 103 and 104, which will be reserved.
