WASHINGTON, D.C. –  No. 21 University of Dayton (21-6, 14-2 A-10) lost its regular season finale, 88-79 to George Washington (20-9, 11-5 A-10) Saturday at the Charles E. Smith Center, breaking UD's nine-game win streak.

Celeste Edwards scored a game-high 22 points to lead UD. Sophomore

Amber Deane had nine assists, seven points and five rebounds.
The Colonials had three players with double-doubles: Jonquel Jones (22 points, 13 rebounds), Caira Washington (18 points, 12 rebounds) and Danni Jackson (17 points, 12 assists).
GW led at the half and by as many as 14 points. The Flyers clawed back and led by three, 56-53, on a Hoover trey with 12:53 left in the game.
Back-to-back layups by Caira Washington and Jones gave GW the lead for good with 11:11 on the clock.
The Flyers did not attempt a free throw in the second half, while the Colonials were 8-of-11 from the stripe in the second half. The Colonials outrebounded UD 49-34.

The A-10 Tournament Championship will be held March 5-9 in Richmond, Va. at the Richmond Coliseum. The Flyers have clinched the No. 1 seed and will play their first game on Friday, March 7 at noon.
