RICHMOND, Va. – No. 24, top-seeded University of Dayton (23-6) advanced to the 2014 Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball Championship Final with an 89-68 win over No. 4 seed George Washington (21-10) Saturday at the Richmond Coliseum.Â
10 Flyers scored, including four in double figures, led by junior
Andrea Hoover's 22 points. The 2014 A-10 Player of the Year also had eight rebounds.Â

Andrijana Cvitkovic had 11 points, nine rebounds and three assists in 19 minutes of action for UD. Senior
Cassie Sant contributed 10 points and six rebounds and held GW's leading scorer Jonquel Jones to just six points (2-for-12). Jones scored 30 in the A-10 quarterfinal win against Saint Joseph's Friday.
The Colonials scored first, but it was the only lead they would have. GW tied the game at 9-9, but the Flyers went on a 13-0 run to take a commanding 22-9 lead at the 10:06 mark of the first half.Â
UD led 39-25 at the half and by as many as 26 with 7:11 to play in the game.Â
Dayton dominated on the glass, outrebounding GW 52-44. The Flyers also had 46 points in the paint, compared to 22 for GW.Â
The Flyers advance to play in the A-10 Championship final this Sunday at 11 a.m. The game will be nationally-televised on ESPNU with Melissa Lee and Nell Fortner on the call. The game will also be available via a free audio stream on the A-10 Digital Network with Shane White on the call.
