#UDWSOC CLOSES NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE AT OKLAHOMA STATE

Dayton Seeking First Road Win Of The Season

The University of Dayton women's soccer team (4-5-1) travels to Stillwater, Okla. to take on Oklahoma State (4-6-0) Sunday, Sept. 28 at 2 p.m. ET at Cowgirl Soccer Complex. 

THE SERIES
•    This is the first meeting between the Flyers and the Cowgirls.

FLYER FACTS
Mike Tucker is entering his 20th season as head coach of the Flyers in 2014. He has an overall record of 286-101-28
• The Flyers are 4-5-1 going into their final non-conference regular season match of 2014. All four of Dayton's wins have come at home this season.   
• The Flyer captains this season are senior Chelsea Rose, and juniors Ashley Campbell and Nicole Waters
• Dayton is ranked first in the Atlantic 10 in scoring offense with 2.10 goals per game. 
• Junior Ashley Campbell also leads the league in goals (7) and goals per game (.70). She is ranked 20th in the nation in goals scored, helped by her third career hat trick she had vs. Ohio Friday, Sept. 19. Campbell has 37 career goals and needs two more to move into fourth place on UD's career list. She needs eight goals to move into a tie for third place with All-American Missy Gregg (1999-2000). 
• Junior Nicole Waters is second in the A-10 and 15th, nationally, in assists (6). With her 25 career assists she is sixth on UD's all-time Top 10 list. She needs two assists to move into a tie for fifth and three to move into a tie for third. 
• The Dayton women's soccer program owns an overall record of 410-168-45 since it became a varsity program in 1984. The Flyers made NCAA Tournament Appearances in 1998, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2009, 2010 and 2011, advancing to the second round in both 2009 and 2010 and to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001. 

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
OKLAHOMA STATE

The Cowgirls are 4-6-0 heading into their home stand versus Iowa State and Dayton. The Cowgirls started off the season with six consecutive losses to Oklahoma, Arkansas, No. 2 Florida State, No. 5 Florida, Arizona State, and Arizona. Opponents outscored the Cowgirls 15-3 in the first six games; however they have won their last four in a row, allowing only two goals in those four games. Allie Stephenson leads Oklahoma State in scoring and points with four goals and ten points. Rosa Medina leads the Cowgirls in goal this season with 47 saves. 

ALEXIS KIEHL NAMED A-10 CO-ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Freshman forward Alexis Kiehl was named the Atlantic 10 co-rookie of the week after scoring her second career goal just 17 seconds into the 2-0 Flyer victory against Toledo. The Cincinnati native also recorded her first career assist in the 4-0 win over Ohio. Hers is the third weekly award for the Flyers this season. Junior Nicole Waters won back-to-back A-10 Player of the Week honors to start the season. 

UP NEXT
The Flyers open Atlantic 10 play with a home match against Saint Louis Saturday, Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. at Baujan Field. Admission is free. It will be kids' day and camper reunion day. There will be a bounce house for children and free popcorn to the first 100 kids in jerseys. It will also be the alumnae recognition match.
