Box Score (PDF)

BRONX, N.Y. – Five players scored in double figures as the Dayton Flyers won their sixth in a row with a 76-58 road victory over the Fordham Rams.

Dyshawn Pierre recorded 16 points and six rebounds, Scoochie Smith added 15 points and Jordan Sibert scored 14. Kyle Davis tallied 12 points and Kendall Pollard added 10.

Dayton improved to 13-2 overall and 3-0 in the Atlantic 10.

The Flyers have not started 3-0 in league play since the 2003-04 season.

UD shot 61 percent from the field and hit 17-of-20 free throw attempts. In fact, UD was lights out in the second half, shooting a season-best 16-of-19 (84.2%) from the floor in the second half.  That was the second-best shooting performance in a half in UD history, and led to a 51-point explosion after intermission.

After shooting 2-of-11 from three-point range, the Flyers connected on all five attempts in the second half. Darrell Davis finished with nine points and converted all three shots from beyond the arc. He is now made 17 of his last 19 three-pointers in the last six games, and six in a row in the last two games.

Dayton begins a two-game home stand hosting the La Salle Explorers on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. ET.
