RICHMOND, Va. - The University of Dayton women's basketball team recorded a 76-62 win at Richmond Wednesday afternoon at UR's Robins Center. With the win, the Flyers improve to 15-4 on the season and 6-1 in Atlantic 10 action while UR falls to 12-8 overall and 4-3 in league play. Senior
Andrea Hoover led all scorers with 20 points while also grabbing 11 rebounds as one of two Flyers with a double-double.

Ally Malott recorded a 16-point, 12-rebound double-double and junior
Amber Deane added 14 points, all of which came in the second half, to go with eight rebounds. Junior
Kelley Austria chipped in 13 points. Freshman
Jenna Burdette had six points to go with four assists.
Dayton out-rebounded Richmond, 50-36, and scored 25 points off 16 RIC turnovers.
Richmond led the game for 53 seconds, a 14-11 advantage that came just under seven minutes into the game after a made three-point basket by the Spiders' Olivia Healy. The Flyers responded with a 12-0 run to go ahead, 23-14, just over 10 minutes into the first frame and never looked back. Richmond cut the lead to one, 30-29, with 2:22 to play in the first but would get no closer the rest of the game.
After closing out the first half with a 6-0 run, Dayton scored the first bucket of the second half to take the nine-point lead, 38-29. UD's largest lead came with just 28 seconds left in regulation, 76-60, after Deane sank two free throws. The Flyers would hold on for the 14-point, 76-62 victory.
The Spiders were led by Janelle Hubbard with 17 points while Olivia Healy added 16 points and dished out four assists.
The Flyers return home Saturday to host the Saint Louis Billikens. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. at UD Arena for Girls and Women in Sports Day.
