WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of Dayton volleyball team dispatched George Washington, 3-0 (25-20, 25-11, 25-17), Saturday night in Atlantic 10 action at GW's Smith Center. The Flyers have now won 11 consecutive matches and move to a perfect 6-0 in league play. For the season, Dayton improves to 13-5 overall. With the loss, George Washington is now 13-7 overall and 3-2 in A-10 matches.
STATS OF THE MATCH• Senior
Alaina Turner again led all attackers with 20 kills and narrowly missed the double-double with nine digs. Senior
Jill Loiars chipped in eight kills.

Jessica Sloan was Dayton's leading passer with a match-high-tying 13 digs while senior
Janna Krafka passed 11 digs as well. Sophomore
Jane Emmenecker set 38 assists, got under seven digs and collected two blocks.

Amber Erhahon tallied a team-high four blocks and recorded five kills to one error for a .400 hitting percentage.
• George Washington offered a balanced attack as three Colonials had five kills apiece. Maddy Doyle got under 13 digs and Chidima Osuchukwu tallied nine blocks on the night.
• Dayton held George Washington to a .000 hitting percentage on the night while terminating 45 kills to GW's 23.
SET-BY-SET• Set One: It was a 4-1 start for George Washington but Dayton rallied to take the lead at 5-4. The Flyers held a slim 10-9 advantage when the Colonials score four straight to jump ahead 13-10. The GW lead was three at 17-14 but UD used a 6-0 run to pull in front, 20-17. Back-to-back kills ended the set with Dayton on top, 25-20.
• Set Two: It was Dayton's turn to start at set 4-1 in the second game and a GW attacking error pushed the UD lead to five at 8-3. The Flyers led by as many as 15 late in the frame, 22-7, and Dayton reached set point at 10. George Washington held once but Dayton took the game, 25-11, to go ahead, 2-0, for the match.
• Set Three: A kill from GW's Kelsey Clark set the score at 5-4 in favor of UD in the early going of the third set. The Flyers then used a 6-0 spurt to jump ahead, 11-4, but the Colonials would rally to get within two, 13-11. A GW attack error gave UD a six-point, 18-12 advantage and the Flyers were up seven, 20-13, following a kill from Turner. Sloan slammed down the last point of the match with a kill to win set three, 25-17.
UP NEXT• After wrapping up a two-match road swing at George Washington on Saturday, the Flyers will return home to the friendly confines of Frericks Center. On Friday, October 16, Dayton will play host to Atlantic 10 foe Davidson with first serve set for 7 p.m. The match will be broadcast on Time Warner Cable SportsNetwork.
